We previously saw both Samsung's 105-inch Curved UHD TV (105U9500) and its 85-inch Bendable UHD TV (85U9B), but we now have confirmation that these models will actually see the light of day in the United States during the second half of 2014.

According to HS Kim, Samsung's executive VP of visual displays, the media reception to these two models was so positive that the company decided to announce the release of production models.

Samsung's 105-inch Curved UHD TV features a 21:9 aspect ratio, also called CinemaScope. This means that in addition to being an incredibly large screen, the 105U9500 will also be able to play content shot in this extra-wide format. As of right now, we have not heard of any plans for this style of content to be released.

Samsung's other big-deal TV is the 85-inch Bendable UHD TV, also known as the 85UB9. Consumers can press a button on the remote to transform this TV from a flat panel to a curved display. The actual bending effect is subtle, but the slight curve doesn't detract from the picture quality at all. We previously reported that this model was just a proof-of-concept, but we're pleasantly surprised to see that it's getting a proper release.

While consumers can expect to see both of these models during the second half of 2014, Samsung didn't release any pricing information yet. We'll be sure to report the details once we find out.
