Most of the country may be in the midst of historic heatwaves this summer, but all we’ve been able to think about lately are sizzling summer fashions. From swanky new swimwear to the hilarious and absurd Kate Spade x Heinz Ketchup collaboration, the rising mercury is a great excuse to pull out the more daring pieces in your wardrobe. I’ve always lived by the credo that fashion should be fun, and there’s no better time to lean into it than the summertime.
This week’s Fit Check subject Caleigh Hardy takes the advice to heart, as you’ll see in the ultra-glam look she wore to Trend Management’s Sip & Sound Saloon in Nashville a few weeks ago. Whether it’s the summer-friendly airy lace top, the trendy cowboy boots, or the statement-making corset belt, I love her Western-glam-meets-goth vibe and know you will, too.

Caleigh, tell me about this glam western look!
💃 - Much like most events I attend, I went into the day not knowing what I was going to wear. So naturally, I took a little trip over to my wardrobe sanctuary, The Showroom, a local designer dress rental store, and absolutely hit the jackpot! We couldn’t have planned it better—almost head-to-toe local Nashville designers for a very Nashville night.
👗 - I’m proud to say that my hand-crafted lace corset top is from a local Nashville designer, Pink Elephant Designs. This one-of-a-kind piece was the star of this outfit! I paired it with a simple black slip dress to keep all eyes on those floor-length lace details. My favorite detail was the floor-length shoulder ties—they added so much movement and femininity with the bows!
🎀 - The belt is from Shock and Awww and came from my good friend Raelynn’s personal collection! This piece tied the outfit together (no pun intended) perfectly and added a punch of “saloon” aesthetic.
👢 - It wouldn’t be a Nashville party without some cowgirl boots! These stunners are from another favorite local designer of mine, Daniel Diamond. His Tall T Black Boot provided the perfect length and the necessary element of sparkle to round off this look. He can do no wrong!
💎 - These statement earrings by Elizabeth Cole might as well be glued to my ears by now. I reach for these for almost every concert, event, or night out on the town. They are the perfect pair of earrings for that western turquoise pop, but with an elevated style and unique design to stand out behind some big country hair. Each piece is made in the USA, which only makes me love them more.
How did you discover and develop your personal style?
I discovered most of my style through my mom! Growing up in Southern California, she was heavily influenced by Western fashion, so I grew up wearing a lot of statement jewelry, turquoise, cowboy boots, and colorful textures and patterns. However, I’ve always been drawn to very feminine fashion. With age, my style has developed into a balance of the two—feminine styles with a Western influence.
What’s next on your to-buy list?
Because of my height (I’m 5’10”), a good pair of jeans that fit me correctly are perpetually on my to-buy list. I need a few more timeless pairs to close out the gap in my closet. I have some trendy Gen Z styles and classic millennial skinny jeans, but now I’m on the hunt for bootcut and straight-leg styles that are long! ATTN BRANDS: Step it up for our tall ladies out here!
What’s your go-to style hack?
My top styling tip is to lean into color! I feel like people are so quick to assume they need to hide behind neutrals these days. Colors enhance your beauty, brighten your features, and set you up for a better day! Think about it—what’s more fun than a hot pink dress?
