Being a nerd has never been cooler, and clothing retailers have taken notice. Some of the top retailers incorporate all things geeky into their offerings, resulting in some truly inspired designs for every type of attire. While this influx of options is great because it inspires some fierce competition, it can also easily lead to an overwhelming number of choices.

When shopping for your favorite fandom, consider what you’re looking for. If you want a standard logo or icon for a huge fandom like Star Wars, you likely won’t have to look beyond standard-issue go-to clothing stores. However, if you’re looking for a more obscure fandom—or clothing that touts deeper fan knowledge or more original designs for larger fandoms—finding a place that specializes in geeky tees is a good idea. Keep reading to discover your new favorite place to find fandom tees in every size and style.

Target

Whether you’re a bookworm like Belle, or exploring the upside-down, Target has you covered with fandom tees.

Sizes: S-3XL

Price: $

Target was an early frontrunner when it came to mega-retailers jumping into the geeky tee trend, and if anything, they’ve only picked up momentum. While many of their best designs are only available online, they still boast a substantial in-store offering in both the men’s and women’s departments.

One benefit of Target is that most people have one within traveling distance, meaning that you can try on select shirts in-store. This is a benefit to folks who want to make sure their shirt fits before buying, but can be especially helpful to those with clothing-related sensory sensitivities, as it lets you test to see if any elements cause distress. If you choose to try your items on at home, Target makes it easy to process returns of online purchases in-store.

I’m a long-time shopper of Target’s geeky shirts. The Belle tee is one of my favorites, and I consistently get compliments on it whether I’m at a fandom-based event like Comic Con or just going about my daily life. Though Target doesn’t have the sheer volume and variety of fandoms as many on this list, their selection is still impressive and well worth the look.

Our top picks from Target:

Fandoms Include: Star Wars, Gilmore Girls, Stranger Things, Disney, Jurassic Park, Marvel, Schitt’s Creek, Harry Potter, Bands, Friends, Hello Kitty, Mario, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Pixar, Ted Lasso, Muppets, Lego, 80s Nostalgic Licenses, Dungeons & Dragons, Lord of the Rings, Outer Banks
