Having a taste for luxury goods doesn't often jive with shopping on a budget. For us label addicts, deal hunting is one of the best ways to buy high-end brands at a discount. With more shoppers turning to online platforms to find luxury goods at lower prices, sites like Jomashop (available at Jomashop) have become a popular option for first-time buyers who want authenticity without paying full retail.

But just how are its prices so low? Curious if Jomashop's prices were too good to be true, I tested it out to see if its products are authentic and its service is reliable—here's what I found.

This review covers everything you need to know before buying from Jomashop, including how it sources products, what to expect in the box, and how it compares to authorized retailers in terms of price and service.

What is Jomashop?

Jomashop is an online retailer that sells a wide range of luxury goods like watches, handbags, sunglasses, fragrances, and more. The business is headquartered in Brooklyn, New York, and was founded by Marvin Sternberg in 1999. You can find thousands of deals on Jomashop on nearly every major luxury brand, including Dior, Versace, Gucci, Cartier, Rolex, Fendi, and Ray-Ban, at as much as 75% off the MSRP.

Why is Jomashop so cheap?

I saved more than $100 on this 100% leather Kate Spade shoulder bag.

Jomashop is what's known as a gray market seller, which means that it sells its goods through legal but unauthorized trade channels at significantly discounted prices. The majority of its inventory is sourced directly from manufacturer-authorized dealers; however, Jomashop itself is not an authorized dealer.

Gray market sellers often purchase goods wholesale at a reduced price from authorized dealers who were unable to sell them at full price. You can think of it as the step above secondhand shopping: you still buy items new, but not from where they were meant to be sold.

Since Jomashop avoids brand-authorized retail channels, it can price products well below MSRP. For example, a Tag Heuer watch that typically retails for $2,000 might be listed for $1,200 on Jomashop.

Is Jomashop legit?

Although Jomashop sources its products from authorized dealers, wholesalers, or distributors rather than the manufacturer, it still can guarantee that every product it sells is 100% authentic.

Most watches include a serial number and may arrive with branded boxes or paperwork. However, factory-stamped warranty cards and manufacturer certificates are not typically included, which may be important for buyers focused on resale or long-term value.

One thing to note when shopping on Jomashop is whether the green "In Stock" button is listed on the product page. If you see that button, it means Jomashop has the product in stock and ready to ship from its warehouse.

If you see "Ships in 1-2 weeks" below the "Add to bag" button, it means the product is not available for immediate shipping. Jomashop will need to source the product for you from an authorized dealer first, and shipping may be delayed.

What I like about Jomashop

The Ray-Bans I received from Jomashop came in flawless condition with their cases included.

The savings can't be beat

Jomashop offers some of the best deals on apparel, beauty, and accessories that are frankly hard to come by on any other reputable site. I purchased a Kate Spade handbag and two pairs of Ray-Ban sunglasses to assess the overall quality, authenticity, and savings appeal, and each product arrived in perfect condition in its original packaging. I was amazed at how much I saved (in total, a whopping $257) on Jomashop rather than shopping directly from the brands.

Here are two of the products that I bought, along with the pricing. I also tested the Small Gavin Black Leather Shoulder Bag pictured above (although it is no longer available at Jomashop).

Jomashop offers additional coupons

On top of its highly discounted goods, Jomashop makes it easy to stack savings thanks to its coupon page, which lists all of its active promo codes. I was able to add a code to my order for an additional 10% off at checkout. Many online retailers don't offer the ability to use multiple promo codes easily, so I appreciated how Jomashop makes its savings so readily available.

The huge selection of brands

If you're familiar with the top names in fashion, you're likely to find them at Jomashop. The retailer carries more than 650 luxury brands, from Rolex and Balenciaga to Burberry, Chloe, Tom Ford, Yves Saint Laurent, and Marc Jacobs.

This also includes a strong variety of watch brands like Omega, Seiko, Longines, Breitling, and TAG Heuer. Some models listed are no longer in production, which can be a big draw for collectors or shoppers looking for unique finds.

If you're searching for savings on a specific product, its search functionality is also excellent—just type in the product name or item number in the search box to see if Jomashop carries it.

What I don't like about Jomashop

Most products are ineligible for factory warranty

While Jomashop offers fantastic deals, it has lackluster after-sales support, services, and warranties like many gray market stores. For watches in particular, Jomashop’s website states that it will service every watch sold on its website for a period of one to five years, but for internal malfunctions only. This means Jomashop likely won't repair watches with signs of wear under warranty.

However, Jomashop does partner with Extend, so for handbags, jewelry, and eyewear, you can opt in to protect your purchase from accidental damage and defects—for a fee of course.

When it comes to returns, Jomashop gives buyers 30 days to request a refund. Items must be unused and include all original packaging. A restocking fee may apply for some categories, and return shipping is generally the responsibility of the customer.

Refunds are typically processed within 5 to 10 business days after the item is received.

Overall, if you're someone who often relies on after-sales support (or you're buying a product that costs, say, more than $1,000), you may want the peace of mind that Jomashop unfortunately often can’t provide.

Is Jomashop worth it?

Yes, if you hate paying full retail price, and wouldn't mind covering the cost of potential repairs

Jomashop (available at Jomashop) is not the same as buying from an authorized retailer, but for many buyers, the lower price outweighs the limitations. If you are comfortable skipping the manufacturer's warranty and don’t mind problem-solving post-purchase issues yourself, the value can be significant.

Overall, Jomashop is a reputable retailer and a great place to find heavily discounted designer duds. Of course, there's always a slight risk when buying luxury items from an unauthorized seller, in case the item ever breaks. But for me, a good deal outweighs that risk.
