Like many young millennials, I've been obsessed with Blake Lively's outfits since "Gossip Girl" first aired in 2007. In fact, I once copied her exact look from the season four episode "Goodbye, Columbia" to wear to school in ninth grade. (I distinctly remember because I was very disappointed that none of my friends picked up on the fashion reference.)
So, when I saw Blake's sporty Super Bowl 2024 outfit, featuring a red Balenciaga x Adidas tracksuit, I knew I wanted to recreate the look. This had to be on a budget of course, since her jewelry alone cost nearly $500,000—here's how I got the look for less.
What did Blake Lively wear to Super Bowl 2024?
Blake Lively showed up to the 2024 Super Bowl in the Kansas City Chiefs' team colors, wearing a red-and-white tracksuit from Balenciaga’s 2022 collaboration with Adidas. The vibrant look included an oversize-fit nylon tracksuit jacket along with what Blake Lively dubbed "shants:" a hybrid two-in-one track pant with added stiletto heels.
“Last week I left my kids for the first time ever and wore pants that were shoes,” she wrote on Instagram.
She paired the tracksuit with Aritzia's white Babaton Sculpt Knit Cropped Tank Top ($58), and accessorized with Tiffany & Co. gold chain-link necklaces and a mix of link bracelets and chunky bangles in silver and gold. She also showed off her natural 'do, wearing her hair in voluminous ‘80s-inspired curls.

I copped the Adicolor Classics Loose Firebird Track Top ($80) and the Adicolor Firebird Loose Track Pants ($70) in green, to make the look my own. The matching tracksuit also comes in dark blue, pink, black, and a pine green—although the red color is not currently available at Adidas.
I took a page out of Blake's fashion playbook and teamed the jumpsuit with a simple white tank and some chain-link necklaces, and was able to capture her look for less than $250.
What I liked about the Adidas tracksuit
I loved the oversized fit, sleek fabric, and casual nature of the suit.
It's well-made and comfortable
The track jacket and pants are constructed from a high-performance recycled material called tricot, which is both sustainable and made to last. It's soft, smooth, and easy to move in thanks to the roomy feel and relaxed fit of the tracksuit. It provides all-day-long comfort and, from what I assume due to the high-quality design, long-term wear. While I haven't worn it enough yet to be sure, I suspect I'll have this classic Adidas look in my closet for many years.
It's a statement piece
Adidas' Firebird tracksuits have been around since the '80s, proving the timelessness of the style. With its signature three stripes on the sides, Adidas logo, and slight sheen, the tracksuit's eye-catching details ensure you'll be noticed when you enter a room—Super Bowl suite or not.
What I didn't like
It's a little pricey
Together, the track top and bottoms will cost you $150, so it's not the cheapest Adidas style to invest in. However, the overall feel and old-school nature of the suit justify its price—it's an infinitely wearable set that you can throw on over almost anything.
Is the Adidas tracksuit worth it?
Yes, if you're confident you'd wear it frequently
The Adidas Firebird tracksuit has been a fun addition to my wardrobe and I know it's something I'll continue to reach for. While I may not win the fashion battle against Blake Lively, I'm always happy to let her sense of style find its way into my closet.
