Story time: We tested the Ecovacs Deebot D83 late last year. It's a similar model to the M82, which is today's deal, but we didn't love it. In fact the Deebot D83 had the dubious honor of being the first robot vacuum to plunge all the way off our testing platform. Ouch.

But if we're being honest with ourselves, and with you, the M82 actually has pretty solid customer reviews on Amazon. We also know from testing that at least one Deebot model—even if it's dangerous around stairs or balconies—can really clean a floor. In fact our test model spent two hours vacuuming our test floor in a repeating spiral pattern before returning to its dock automatically.

So if you can comfortably ignore the scientifically backed advice of your friendly online product reviewers, or you live on a single floor and stair-detection doesn't matter, or you really like the sound of "43% off," today's deal might still be right for you.
