This Machine Turns Your Facebook Likes Into a Cocktail

Have you ever wanted a drink crafted specifically for you? I'm not talking about asking a bartender to make your favorite off-the-rack cocktail. I mean a drink made specifically to match your personality.

Well, a team of designers have created a machine that can do just that.

The Social Shot is a machine that mines your Facebook likes to create a shot-sized cocktail for you based on five personality traits. Its designers say it uses the Big Five, a psychology "factor model" that breaks personalities down into openness, conscientiousness, agreeableness, neuroticism, and extroversion.

Each trait is represented by a different ingredient: blue Curacao, clear vodka, green basil liqueur, red grenadine, and yellow lemon juice, respectively.

The machine interprets your Facebook likes using an algorithm created at the University of Cambridge, then dispenses a unique ratio of ingredients in proportion to how strongly you embody each trait. Each drink ends up totaling just 20ml.

Unfortunately, there's no word on whether The Social Shot will be making an appearance at a bar near you. For now, we'll just have to keep dreaming about what our personalities taste like.
