In my household, we’re obsessed with jars. Mason jars to hold drinks that make us feel charmingly rustic. Jars that come free with purchases of jam, then find second lives as food storage containers after the jam is gone. Cute little canning jars to set on the counter, filled with salt or small candles.
Jars to bake in, even. Jars to fill with desserts.
{{ amazon name="Ball Mason Wide Mouth Quart Jars with Lids and Bands, Set of 12", asin="B00B80TLOM", align="right" }} Yes, that’s right. It’s my opinion that a dessert is about a million times cuter when set snugly inside a glass jar. It’s a fact that desserts in jars are wonderfully portable.
Whether you want to impress dinner guests with an adorable treat, bring a sugary snack to work that you can eat straight from its container, or just make use of the extra jars you have lying around, desserts in jars are always a good idea.
