If you've used Kroger Ship recently, you may have noticed the addition of items like bedding, tableware, kitchen appliances, and more. As many popular retailers are these days, Kroger is continuing to expand its roster of products online to create a one-stop shop for all things home.
With that expansion comes updates to its lineup of services. Kroger Ship, the hub for Kroger’s non-perishable shipments of food, personal care products, beauty supplies, and more, is increasing the size and breadth of its catalog for the new year. The digital storefront not only offers customers the chance to shop for items one might see in Kroger stores apart from groceries, but also the ability to shop from a large, curated assortment of wares like furniture, décor, bedding, tableware, kitchen appliances, and more.
We’ve broken down the distinctions between Kroger’s typical delivery services and Kroger Ship, including the perks you can access and the wide array of options it offers shoppers.
What can you get with Kroger Ship?
Kroger Ship offers housewares like bedding, pet products, kitchen appliances, and more, all shippable to your home.
Kroger Ship, or Ship to Home, is designed to offer shoppers a way to ship household essentials. Recently, the company expanded its list of available goods to include items like bedding, makeup and skincare, appliances—the list goes on—from brands like Olaplex, Staub, Technivorm, and Zwilling. The website claims to be home to thousands of items, with discounts available on seasonal items and bulk purchases.
In order to take advantage of Kroger Ship’s services, you need to ensure that you select “Ship” as your preferred shopping method at or ahead of checkout. Notably, Kroger Ship items are compatible with Kroger Perks, meaning you can earn fuel points and get free shipping on qualified items.
Can you get groceries with Kroger Ship?
Kroger Ship is distinct from Kroger’s pickup and delivery services for groceries, in the sense that you cannot buy perishable items like produce, dairy, and so on. If you want to build out a grocery cart for same-day delivery or same-day pickup, you’ll have to do that elsewhere on Kroger’s website, or on apps like Instacart.
If you do want to use Kroger Ship for, say, pantry staples like coffee, tea, spices, and more, you can check out the available options within the Pantry hub on the site.
Can you get free shipping with Kroger Ship?
Kroger Ship offers free standard shipping if you spend at least $35 (after taxes and discounts) on items sold and shipped by Kroger. Purchases from third-party sellers, however, are eligible for free economy shipping.
Can you return items with Kroger Ship?
All items shipped by Kroger have a 60 day return policy, but if your item was shipped by a Kroger third-party seller, it has a 30 day return policy. Keep in mind that items purchased on Kroger Ship cannot be returned or exchanged in store, and that shipping fees are nonrefundable.
What's next for Kroger Ship?
Kroger Ship continues to round out Kroger’s current offerings of shippable products, going beyond its usual shipments of bulk goods and pantry staples to offer shipping on housewares, electronics, and more.
It’s likely that Kroger will further flesh out its Ship offerings as time goes on, so continue to check back for exciting launches and new product categories on its site.
