February is Black History Month, and as part of the push to support, highlight, and promote Black-owned businesses and Black creators this month, many retailers are introducing new initiatives and products. Among them is HSN, which is celebrating by putting the spotlight on a selection of Black-owned brands, Black creators, charities, and products.
The Black History Month hub on HSN features videos that highlight the stories of Black creators within HSN's network. There's also a video that spotlights the charity HSN is promoting this month, the Black Woman's Health Imperative, an organization that works to improve the physical, financial, and emotional health and wellness of Black women and girls in the US.
If you want to support the businesses that HSN is highlighting this month, you can check out the spread of makeup companies, candle makers, and pillow designers—but hurry, because items are quickly going out of stock!
1. Mented Cosmetics
We love Mented at Reviewed. Mented Cosmetics aims to offer a wide spectrum of "nude" skin tones, challenging the beauty industry's historical perception of nude tones by offering 16 shades of foundation, three shades of nude nail polish, and much more. You can shop the aforementioned well-reviewed foundation, lush blush palettes, and more from their selection.
2. Pardon My Fro
Get beautiful throw pillows and blankets from Pardon My Fro.
Home goods company and designer Pardon My Fro is here to inspire people to own their natural beauty. CEO and designer Dana Bly founded the company to make products that help women feel proud of both their hair and their heritage. Her pillows are made with bold colors, and feature diverse bodies and stories. They're also going fast, so get them before they're gone!
3. Grace Eyelae
Stay warm and stylish with hats and caps from Grace Eyelae.
Grace Eyelae's HSN storefront is home to protective hats, caps, and hair wraps designed with natural hair in mind. The designer, Grace Eyelae herself, wanted to create accessories for women that they could wear to bed, to protect their hair from harsh fabrics (and that were also stylish enough to wear out and about throughout the day). Among her line of goods, you can find satin-lined hats, satin-lined caps, and more.
4. Sassy Jones
You can find almost everything in the realm of accessories from Sassy Jones.
Sassy Jones is the brainchild of Charise Jones, who wanted a place where "the unicorns could come and play." Thus, her fashion brand that emphasized individuality was born. You can find everything from belt bags to scarves to unique belts in the collection—HSN carries over 50 Sassy Jones products, so if you've been on the lookout for a specific, statement-making piece, like this holographic bucket bag, you'll probably be able to find something unique.
5. Carol's Daughter
Shop haircare, skincare, and more.
Carol's Daughter is home to skincare and beauty products like cleansers, shampoo and conditioner, moisturizers, and much more. Carol's actual daughter, Lisa Price, runs the brand; she said it comes from a desire to have wonderful products for her hair and her skin. She built Carol's Daughter from the ground up, with the hope of providing products that would make people as satisfied as her friends and family were when they tested out her hair-care and skincare line.
6. Grace + Love Candle Co.
Coming soon, candles from Grace + Love Candle Co.
Grace + Love Candle Co.'s products have yet to drop on HSN, but when they do, they'll feature candles from Jamahl Grace, a fragrance company committed to sharing joy through shared experiences. You'll be able to find them on HSN soon, but in the meantime you can check out their storefront to discover a wide variety of candles, wax melts, diffusers, and more.
