Whirlpool is back at CES, and bringing along some attractive new appliances.
Ahead of the show, the company unveiled a lineup of washers and dryers that feature unique new finishes. White, silver, and red are interesting enough, but the all-new Duet Designs involve patterns and colors that can really spruce up your laundry room. In fact, we think it would be a shame to put some of these new patterns behind closed doors. The first, Diamond Steel, will go on sale this spring.
It's all part of a focus on design, including an art installation that involves the already attractive WMC20005YD curved microwave. The Max Art Microwave was commissioned to celebrate Whirlpool's 10th anniversary in Mexico, and will also be on display at Whirlpool's CES booth.
Additionally, we'll be getting a preview of the next generation of Whirlpool's connected appliance platform. The concept features such innovations as a barcode reader that can scan food for inventory management and to set proper oven temperatures, and a dishwasher that can anticipate which foods it'll have to clean off plates after a meal.
Whirlpool's become a familiar face at the tech show, debuting AquaLift back in 2012 and the impressive 6th Sense Live connectivity suite last year. We're excited to see what else they bring this year.
