Here are the best Labor Day 2017 appliance sales and deals

Late summer means slow sales—so you can get some great deals.

Products are chosen independently by our editors. Purchases made through our links may earn us a commission.

Labor Day signals the end of summer—and it’s also a good time to buy large appliances. That’s because August is a historically slow month, and retailers are looking to move merchandise.

How do I know? For the past six years, I’ve been leading home appliance coverage at Reviewed.com. I know which products did well in our lab tests, and which ones you should avoid. And because we keep an eye on the prices of top-rated products, I can also tell you what’s a good deal.

If you’re in the market for new appliances, here are some deals you shouldn’t ignore this Labor Day. If you find any better deals—or if any of these expire—help us out, and let us know in the comments.

Get a $400 gift card if you buy an appliance package at Best Buy

Plan to remodel your whole kitchen? You can get some serious savings if you buy all your appliances at once. Plus, they’ll all match!

Now, you can get a $300 gift card from Best Buy if you spend $3,000 on three qualifying appliances from the retailer, or a $400 gift card if you spend $4,000 on four appliances. It’s a little tricky—you have to go to this page and manually add the gift card to your cart, then watch as it automatically deducts.

Other package deals include 10% off four or more Samsung major kitchen appliances, up to $600 off LG kitchen packages, and up to $400 on KitchenAid packages.

It appears that some of these offers are stackable, so—in theory—you could save up to an additional $1,000 by applying more than one deal.

$598 each for a feature-packed GE washer and dryer

Top-load washers tend to cost at least $700. But Home Depot dropped the price on this popular GE model with steam, a high-temperature wash, and a neat silver finish.

While this washer and dryer aren’t perfect, they did perfectly well in our lab tests—and they’re an astounding deal at $598 on sale (an extra $100 for gas).

The 4.7-cu.-ft. Maytag MVWB765FW is the largest capacity top-loading agitator washer on the market right now. It’s also engineered, designed and built in America. In other words, it’s just like your grandmother’s washer—except better. There’s even a stainless steel tub and one of the best stain-removal cycles we’ve ever tested.

A top-rated KitchenAid dishwasher at a record low price

KitchenAid Dishwasher

The KDTM354DSS is our favorite KitchenAid dishwasher—and one of our favorite dishwashers, period. It uses a novel filtration system to trap food particles and wash them away, so you don’t have to worry about extra noise or nasty bits of food left behind. If you don’t like how Bosch dishwashers load, this KitchenAid is your best bet.

Even better: The price dropped from the normal sale price of $899 down to $799 at Home Depot.

A big four-door fridge for easy organization

If you’ve got a big family, it can be hard to keep the fridge organized. That’s why lots of parents prefer four-door French door fridges, with a freezer drawer in the middle so stuff doesn’t get lost. The icemaker is on the door instead of the top shelf, so you get more uninterrupted storage space.

It’s usually on sale for at least $1,500 off—but this sale is especially good. This Kenmore fridge is made by LG, who we think is one of the best names in high-end refrigerators. It gets good user reviews, and is similar to high-rated models we’ve tested in our own labs.

Great deals on Samsung and GE ranges at Home Depot

We’ve tested a ton of affordable ranges. There are a bunch of great models on the market—but right now the best sales are on Samsung and GE products. GE’s entry-level gas and electric ranges are a great way to update the look of a kitchen for less—while Samsung sells affordable models with unique features and high-end looks.

Here are some of our favorites:

Buy the GE JB645RKSS electric range at Home Depot for $497.70—SAVE $201 Buy the GE JGBS66REKSS gas range at Home Depot for $537.70—SAVE $211 Buy the Samsung NX58H9500WS gas range at Home Depot for $1,598—SAVE $900

An affordable stainless fridge for almost half off

French door fridges—with two doors up top—might be the most stylish. But a bottom freezer fridge offers the same conveniences for a lot less money. Frozen food sits at the bottom, where cold air falls, and fresh food remains at eye level.

I actually own this fridge, and I paid the same price it’s on sale for now. At $699, it’s an unbeatable deal—and I truly love my fridge.

Buy the Kenmore 69313 at Sears for $699.99—SAVE $600
