As has been custom since 2000, interior decorators, trend-spotters, and fashion designers anticipate Pantone's annual Color of the Year announcement, which dropped this morning, December 7 at 8 am, and 2024 is officially the year of Peach Fuzz 13-1023 TCX. Meant to embody the spirit of the times, the Pantone Color of the Year provides an annual touchpoint for people who work with art and design trends. 2024's Peach Fuzz is a balmy hue that invokes summer sunrise and leisurely days beneath the crepe myrtle trees.
Twice each year, Pantone gathers color specialists from all over the world in a secret meeting. Together, they decide on the following year's color, picking from the 2,390 unique spot colors currently available in Pantone color charts. 2023's Pantone Color of the Year was Viva Magenta, a vibrant Barbie-pink hue, that seemed to perfectly predict summer's Barbenheimer box office moment.
Pantone says that Peach Fuzz 13-1023 TCX is "a compassionate and nurturing peach shade highlighting our desire for togetherness with others and the feelings this creates." In our homes, the color is both familiar and gently bold. Use it as an accent piece to create a warm and luxurious feeling, or go all in on a joyous, Southern-inspired bathroom redesign.
