Investing in an air purifier is a great way to keep the air clean while indoors, especially if you suffer from allergies to dust or pet hair. Blueair has been producing high-quality air purifiers for years—its Blue Pure 311i Max is the best air purifier we’ve tested, while the DustMagnet 5410i is the best air purifier for smoke. Now, the brand is back with the Classic Pro CP7i, its most advanced air purifier yet.

The Classic Pro CP7i is made for larger spaces of 589 square feet or more and is equipped with advanced technology that deactivates germs to keep the air as clean as possible, according to Blueair. It also has dual fans and dual filters that work together to transform the air. Air quality can also be customized and controlled from the handy Blueair app.

The Classic Pro CP7i uses state-of-the-art technology to provide impeccably clean air to larger spaces.

  • Recommended room size: 589-1413 square feet
  • 2 filters
  • Up to 5 year warranty
  • Energy consumption: 2.6-58 W
  • Sound level: 24-55 dB(A)
  • 120 V operating power
  • 31.9 pounds

It uses advanced technology to clean the air

What makes the Classic Pro CP7i stand out from the rest is that it's the first and only air purifier to use PhotonPure lighting technology. According to Blueair, this neutralizes germs that get trapped in the air purifier’s filter by emitting a light that deactivates them.

The Classic Pro CP7i also uses HEPASilent Technology, which offers five layers of filtration to remove 99.97% of airborne pollutants. The technology combines electrostatic and mechanical filtration to capture unwanted pollutants like dust, smoke, and pollen more quickly and quietly than the standard HEPA technology.

It has dual fans and dual filters

Another great feature of the Classic Pro CP7i is its use of dual fans and dual filters. They work in tandem to maximize performance by pulling dirty air through a large inlet and pushing out clean air through its two side outlets. It also does this quietly—the air purifier has a sound level of just 24 to 55 dB(A). The Classic Pro CP7i is also incredibly durable and made with premium steel that’s designed to resist wear, abrasion, and scratches.

It displays air quality insights

The Classic Pro CP7i also has a fancy light sensor display that shows instant and accurate air quality insights. You can easily see air quality readings of PM 1, 2.5, and 10. There’s also an air quality indicator light with five colors to show your air quality ranging from excellent to very polluted, and a numeric display to see air quality readings in more detail.

The Classic Pro CP7i also pairs with the Blueair app to easily control the air purifier from your phone. You’re able to establish schedules, get usage notifications, enable ECO mode, monitor both indoor and outdoor air quality, track filter usage, and replace filters.

The Classic Pro CP7i uses light sensors to instantly and accurately display air quality insights.

We have yet to test it, but its innovative features look promising.

While forking out $700 on an air purifier might not be doable for many, the Classic Pro CP7i is truly a first-of-its-kind air purifier that uses advanced technology not yet seen in any other air purifier on the market. It promises to provide exceptionally clean air to large spaces with minimal noise, while its light sensor and five-color displays seem incredibly useful for getting accurate air quality readings in real time.
