Best Garden Hose
Flexzilla Garden Hose

Lightweight yet durable, the Flexzilla garden hose is the best hose we’ve tested for several reasons.

When we tested the Flexzilla, its smooth surface allowed it to move easily and freely around the yard, thanks to the hose’s dual comfort grips. Although it did kink at times, the flexibility of this hose made it easy to right itself without any user interference. While a standard hose is never as portable as its expandable counterpart, our tester had no issue transporting the Flexzilla, whether it was coiled or uncoiled. We were also impressed with the durability of the connectors and fittings. This bright green hose comes in lengths ranging from 3 feet to 100 feet, making it easy to find a suitable size for your needs.

Makita Cordless Drill (XFD13)

The powerful and relatively lightweight Makita XFD13 takes the top spot among cordless drills due to its excellent weight balance and maneuverability.

As a favorite amongst contractors and home DIY-ers alike, Makita power tools are known just as much for being manageable as they are for their performance. During testing, we were impressed by how comfortable the Makita was to use and noted that it took almost no effort to drive through materials. This is especially beneficial for long projects or for those who appreciate the assistance of a handy power tool.

With features like an auto-activated LED light, numerous speed settings that include low and high-speed torque adjustments, and a battery charge level indicator, you'll be ready for any project that comes your way with a Makita cordless drill.

The Saje Aroma Om is the best diffuser you can get, and it also happens to be the most stylish. Its elegant, straightforward ceramic and cement design ensures that you won’t want to hide it away. It even makes a great gift!

Blueair Pure 311i Max

The Blueair Pure 311i Max is our top choice for the best air purifier. It keeps indoor air clean, covering spaces between 387 and 928 square feet using an ultra-quiet fan and HEPA filter.

We love how lightweight and compact it is, making it easy to move around, and the washable prefilter catches bigger particles like pet hair.

The smart app lets you tweak settings and set schedules so your air is fresh when you get home. While it’s not the best for removing VOCs, it’s fantastic for tackling smoke and other common household air pollutants.

Best Humidifier
Levoit VeSync Classic 300S Ultrasonic Smart Humidifier

The Levoit VeSync Classic 300S is a contemporary humidifier built for interconnected smart homes. This is one of those products that just doesn’t have blind spots.

We measured a 29% increase in humidity while running the Levoit, the second-best score we’ve seen from any humidifier we’ve tested. Water fills the basin from the top, so you won’t drench whatever surface the humidifier lives on.

As befits a best-of-year pick in 2024, the Levoit VeSync Classic 300S leverages useful smart skills; it’s connected to Amazon Alexa or Google Home you can command the unit with your voice. Voice controls paired with an unobtrusive touch interface and no extra LEDs make this a great pick for a dry bedroom. With a reservoir that holds about two gallons of water, it will run for around two whole nights of sleep, or 16 hours straight.

The Mammotion Luba 2 AWD 5000H shown mowing a front yard.
Credit: Reviewed / Sam Gardner
Best Robot Lawn Mower
Mammotion Luba 2 AWD 5000H

With supercar looks, this autonomous robot lawn mower makes quick work of tall grass and looks remarkable while doing it. The best robot lawn mower we’ve tested overall, the Mammotion Luba 2 AWD 5000H was also an obvious choice for the best robot lawn mower of the year in 2024.

The Luba 2 is all about customizable smart features controlled through an app interface. In the app, you’ll be able to plan the robot's path, set up mow zones, avoid zones, and script other patterns. You’ll also be able to drop into the robot’s onboard camera, with a first-person view that takes you right into the grass.

The Luba 2 connects to a charging station using satellite RTK technology. This will need to be set up in a place with open space, but the kit does come with an extension arm to help you rig it on a fence post or pole, if that’s needed.

In the end, advanced tech features are fun, but this robot’s laureates are all based on one fact: It’s really good at cutting grass. If you’re a perfectionist about your lawn but don’t want to push the mower, then this is the tool for you.

Best Smart Robotic Pool Cleaner
Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus Wi-Fi

The Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus Wi-Fi won our hearts for its set-it-and-forget-it performance that adapts to any pool shape and climbs the walls to regularly clean the water line. This is a robot pool vacuum that does what you imagine one should.

The Nautilus’ app experience is simple and uncluttered; all the controls are accessed through the app. The most important button is right in the middle, with a big start/stop control you can’t miss. Beyond that, the app gives you scheduling options for designing a weekly routine and voice commands.

While we have seen the Nautilus get stuck on a step, for the most part, it operates independently. Most importantly, it does a good job at this. The suction and cleaning power is what you’d hope for, leading to a remarkably clean pool in about 90 minutes.

The Nautilus CC Plus Wi-Fi has all the features we’d hope for in a contemporary pool vacuum in 2024.

Read our full review.

Pros

  • Great suction

  • Easy set-up and app control

  • Climbs walls easily

  • Filters are easy to clean

Cons

  • No settings on power base

  • Can get stuck on steps

A Netvue Birdfy bird feeder with an aqua roof sits on white pole.
Credit: Reviewed / Timothy Renzi
Best Smart Bird Feeder
Netvue Birdfy Feeder AI

Smart features are for the birds, too! Smart bird feeders are some of our favorite home product innovations, and we’ve had a lot of fun testing them over the last few years. The Netvue Birdfy Feeder AI does everything we’d hope to see from a contemporary smart feeder—at the top of that list is its solar panel roof.

A solar panel on top means that this smart feeder can operate independently of you (no need to remove the battery to charge it), even while it’s connected to the Netvue app via Wi-Fi. Connected to the app, Netvue Birdfy sends you notifications when visitors appear, enabling you to hop in to stream live video. The app will also try to identify birds—with often comically mixed results.

The Birdfy Feeder is easy to load with bird seed, whatever your flock craves. It might not be entirely squirrel-proof, but it is sturdy. Not only is the Netvue Birdfy Feeder AI the most striking new feeder in its class, but it’s also the best you can buy overall.

Pros

  • High quality camera

  • Multiple ways to mount

  • Bonus attachments

  • Inaccurate AI recognition
