An Italian design firm has fit an entire kitchen in a box, put it on wheels, and rolled it outside.
Called Finalmente, it’s a perfect complement to a barbecue grill, and contains everything else you’d need for cooking outdoors: a sink, refrigerator, plenty of tightly-sealed storage, a griddle, and your choice of gas or induction cooktop.

When you’re done cooking, the entire kitchen folds away under a cover that doubles as a prep space or gathering space.
The faucet folds in, the countertops on each side collapse, and you’re left with an attractive and weatherproof box.

The whole setup is made of thick, 304-grade stainless steel and weighs over 600 lbs. Because it’s on wheels, however, you can roll it onto a terrace or patio when you need it, and roll it away into a garage when it’s not in use.
About the only barrier is price: Depending on how it’s customized, Finalmente sells for around $13,000. But that’s certainly less expensive—and more versatile—than many built-in outdoor kitchens.
