Who doesn't love Adventure Time? The Cartoon Network show has developed a huge following amongst both kids and adults because of its quirky sense of humor and great art style. With Adventure Time: Time Tangle, the upcoming mobile game based on the series, gamers can experience those two qualities on-the-go.

Time Tangle is the result of a collaboration between designer Tim Winsky, artist Winston Powell, and musician Kevin Green. Players take the role of Finn the Human as he runs through various levels collecting power-ups, jumping over obstacles, and—most importantly—punching everything in sight.

Players tilt the tablet left/right to maneuver Finn through the level, tap the left-side of the screen to jump, and press the right-side to punch. Simple mechanics like these made jumping into Time Tangle a breeze, and within a few minutes I was punching boulders and Party Bears like a champ.

When asked about the current trend of offering in-app purchases, designer Tim Winsky told me that Time Tangle won't offer them since kids are the target audience. The last thing any parent wants is their kid racking up charges on a tablet game.

Time Tangle is best enjoyed in short bursts, which perfectly suits the smartphone/tablet environment. Coupled with colorful 3D graphics and voice acting from the show, kids will eat this game up when it launches this summer on mobile platforms.
