LG is discounting its awesome OLED TVs in time for the Super Bowl

Announced this morning, LG is slashing the prices of its 55- and 65-inch B8 OLED TVs in time for the "big game" (you know which one). Oh, what's that? I've just received word that we're actually allowed to say it now. Okay—LG's B8 OLED TVs are mad cheap for the Super Bowl!

While we haven't actually tested the B8 (the most affordable 2018 OLED TV), we've tested the B7 (2017 version), the C8, and a ton more from LG's lineup. OLED TVs continue to take top spots in our rankings year after year for their picture quality, so it's safe to say that a discount like this is a real slam dunk hole-in-one touchdown.

These TVs do go on sale fairly often, but this is about as cheap as they've been since Black Friday.

The 55-inch B8 is down to $1,499 (from an MSRP of $2,299) and the 65-inch B8 is down to $2,299 (from an MSRP of $3,299). The price has come down on both models from the MSRPs, but with this new sale you're saving an extra $100 on the 55-inch or an extra $300 on the 65-inch. Both these OLED TVs have 4K resolution, HDR and Dolby Vision support, Dolby Atmos pass-thru, LG's AI compatible smart features, and basically all the audio-video enthusiast goodness you could want.

The discount is available from all of LG's official retailers, but Amazon seems to have the most B8s in stock at the moment:
