If you’re as obsessed with sparkling water as we are, you’ll also be very excited by the introduction of a handheld water carbonator. The new Roam SodaTop, introduced this week at CES 2025, fits a CO2 cartridge directly into Roam's triple-insulated stainless steel water bottle for on-the-go carbonation.

The SodaTop can carbonate up to 1 liter of water in under 5 seconds and uses 100% recyclable steel CO2 canisters. Roam's Ultimate Carbonation Bottle, which comes with the SodaTop, features a triple-insulated design to keep drinks cold for 24 hours while maintaining fizz longer. The Carbonation Chug Lid is specifically designed for carbonated beverages to prevent “pop-off” — think trying to re-cork a Champagne bottle. This ensures safe and consistent carbonation with a leak-proof design that maintains fizz.

Sustainable Sparkling Water

Roam is also focused on the sustainability of staying hydrated. "With SodaTop, we're delivering a sustainable and cost-effective way to enjoy sparkling water – wherever life takes you," says Sunjay Guleria, Roam co-founder and CEO. "Roam is laser-focused on developing technology that enables cost-effective and convenient in-bottle carbonation, filtration, and flavoring solutions using reusable bottles and ordinary tap water, essentially eliminating the need for single-use plastics and unnecessary global water transport."

The Roam SodaTop will launch in Q1 2025 for $49.99 and will be available exclusively at roamwater.co. Roam will also offer natural flavor drops and flavored CO2 cartridges so you can create your favorite sparkling water flavors one bottle at a time.
