One of the most popular meal kit delivery services is partnering with one of our favorite celebrity chefs for a meal kit box so special you’ll want to throw a party. For a limited time, Blue Apron is offering a curated box in collaboration with Molly Yeh.

The cookbook author, mom of two, and star of Girl Meets Farm on the Food Network, has curated four unique and delicious recipes that come together easily for an out-of-this-world flavor experience.

I hosted a small get-together to try the recipes in this limited-edition box, and my guests were quite pleased. It was a Blue Apron first for most of them, and everyone was impressed with the taste and freshness of all the ingredients.

What’s in the box?

Recipe cards and folder from the Blue Apron Molly Yeh box spread out on a counter.

Easy instructions are laid out on the fun cards included in the box.

The dishes in this special collaboration box include burgers elevated to all-star status, two sides in classic Girl Meets Farm style—with loads of flavor—and a unique twist on apple pie for dessert. There’s even a fun bonus recipe if you feel like adding a special DIY touch to dessert!

Blue Apron is offering three options for the burgers: Beef, pork, or turkey. We tried the beef burger, but we think the pork version would also pair particularly well with the ginger-scallion flavor profile. While all the recipes serve four, the burgers are so filling that you’ll likely have sides and pie left over (which we were quite happy about the next day).

You don’t need a Blue Apron subscription to order this special edition collaboration box. You will need to create an account, but you can place a one-time order. You can also send this as a gift!

Also, look out for Blue Apron’s special Sprinkle Apron Giveaway as part of this collab. Winners get both Blue Apron and Molly Yeh merch.

Party preparation

The quintessential Blue Apron packaging, including perfectly portioned bottles and sachets, helps make this meal come together seamlessly.

This is decidedly a special-occasion meal, best saved for a weekend with family and friends. While each recipe is simple to make, there are many components that take preparation beyond a typical weeknight dinner, so we recommend planning accordingly.

Make the pie a day in advance and reheat it lightly if desired before serving. When you start making dinner, do the sides first so the burgers are cooked last and served fresh.

Pro tip: The noodles tend to stick and clump together, so be sure to separate them carefully when cooking.

This special-edition box helps you create quite a party spread.

From the unique burger seasonings and toppings to the crunchy slaw and peanut noodles, this satisfying collection of flavors is a winner. It’s comfort food with a gourmet twist—and the Blue Apron ease of preparation.

Molly’s intention is to create a DIY burger bar with all of the topping options. My personal favorites were the sweet-and-crispy onions and the quick pickles. Other guests raved about the way the spicy ketchup paired with the fried egg. The side dishes are well-matched, making for a harmonious plate—and delicious leftovers.

Dessert was less of a success than the main meal. The topping burned in the minimum amount of baking time, so we highly recommend making sure the pie is in the lower-middle section of the oven. Since it is a crumble topping, the overly browned crumbs were relatively easy to remove, but it still wasn’t the showstopper we were hoping for.

That said, the overall meal was a hit. One guest said, “The burgers were, without a doubt, the highlight of this special meal box. The seasoning of scallions and ginger made it seem like a dumpling (which happens to be one of my favorite foods).”

You’ll be able to order this limited-edition collaboration box from Blue Apron through June 19th, so don’t miss out on the fun.
