Of all the sound plates we saw at CES, one really shines: LG's LAB540W SoundPlate with Wireless Subwoofer. The speakers pack WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, and even on the noisy show floor the audio was loud and clear.

The sound plate also houses a built-in Blu-ray player, and is capable of endowing any TV with LG's smart features. At the end of the day, this simple audio solution will make living rooms everywhere look a little better and sound great. The 1.5-inch-tall plate fits under 32- to 55-inch TVs.
