Introduction

Though we were disappointed that we didn't get a hands-on taste of the single-player campaign (including the quietly brooding leading man Connor and lovingly reproduced environments of our hometown), we were happy to try out some of the new controls and new weapons. The stealth and platforming we experienced will be old hat to fans of the franchise, but the combat includes some new nuances—such as the lack of a left-trigger target lock.

With an announced release date of October 30th, you can be sure that Ubisoft will keep teasing out more gameplay in the coming months. In the meantime, check out our hands-on demo and interview with Ubisoft's Matt Turner.
