Just in time for May the 4th, the first episode of the highly anticipated Clone Wars spin-off The Bad Batch is now available to stream on Disney+. The Lucasfilm Animation spin-off series follows the events of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. If you've been wondering what happened to your favourite crew of rag-tag clones, you're in luck.

Here's what you need to know about The Bad Batch and how to watch it.

Where can you watch Star Wars: The Bad Batch?

Canadian viewers can stream Star Wars: The Bad Batch (as well as other Lucasfilm Animation series) on Disney+. The streaming service is available via internet connection if you live in Australia, Austria, Canada, the Channel Islands, France, Germany, India, Ireland, the Isle of Man, Italy, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, or the U.S. Disney’s direct-to-consumer streaming platform can be accessed from desktop browsers, mobile devices, game consoles, and more.

Disney+ is home to Walt Disney Studios films, Marvel films and series, Disney Channel original series, Pixar films and shorts, Star Wars films and series, and National Geographic titles. The platform is constantly releasing new content, such as The Mandalorian, Raya and the Last Dragon, upcoming series like Obi-Wan Kenobi, and more.

Along with the bumper crop of family-oriented content, the service also recently added the Star hub, which includes content from ABC Signature, 20th Television, FX, Freeform, 20th Century Studios, Searchlight Pictures, Touchstone Pictures, and Hollywood Pictures and is aimed at more mature audiences. Star is essentially the international version of the U.S.-based Hulu streaming service, which Disney also owns. While the Star platform features over 500 movies and 150 TV series, certain heavy hitters from the Hulu platform like The Handmaids Tale and American Horror Story are currently absent due to existing licensing deals with other Canadian streaming services.

"Star Wars: The Bad Batch" will act as both a sequel to and spin-off from the series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars".

Executive produced by Dave Filoni, Star Wars: The Bad Batch follows the continuation of the story of the Bad Batch, otherwise known as Clone Force 99, a group of unique clones, as they navigate the events following Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The Bad Batch consists of Hunter, Echo, Tech, Wrecker, and Crosshair, all of whom have special skills that set them apart from their clone brethren. The Bad Batch appeared in season 7 of The Clone Wars, and the spin-off series will center on their exploits during the Imperial Era. The series will star Dee Bradley Baker as all of the clone troopers in the series (you heard that right), as well as Ming-Na Wen reprising her role as Fennec Shand.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch premiered on May 4th, 2021 (Star Wars Day) and will have a special 70-minute first episode followed by weekly episode releases every Friday. If you want to get caught up on the events of The Clone Wars and witness the Bad Batch in action, you can check out Star Wars: The Clone Wars and other Star Wars films and series on Disney+.
