June 22, 2006 – Camera gear manufacturer company Tenba launched yesterday their newest gear collection, Shootout. Made for professional photojournalists and outdoor photographers, the set includes five photo laptop backpacks, a photo waist pack, a rolling utility duffel bag, and an accessory caddy.
'Shootout is our biggest line in a decade,' says Tenba product manager Peter Waisnor in an interview with digitalcamerainfo.com. 'They are the nicest backpacks I've ever seen,' says Waisnor.
Among the collection are their premium products, the Shootout bags. Tailored towards the adventurous photographer, the Tenba Shootout bags include soft-sided padding, weather-proof covers and zippers, and 'QuickAccess' pockets to retrieve equipment without taking the bag off the shoulder. The bag sizes range from 'Mini' to 'Large Rolling'.
'The shootout series has newer, more creative features that literally don't exist in other bags,' Waisnor says. Waisnor maintains that Tenba simply does not reproduce their competitors' bags, but infuses their products with suggestions from the photographers themselves.
Shootout is 'targeted for hardcore outdoor photographers who can take their equipment up to even the top of the mountain,' says Waisnor.
Tenba will also release their Express collection of products for photographers on a budget. The Express line with include gear under $100 and will be introduced in the upcoming months, according to Waisnor.
The Shootout collection will be available at retail stores in July.
