March 10, 2005 *— Sony Ericsson introduced a digital camera suited for business professionals and students. The device is more of a digital voice recorder, but includes a 1.2-megapixel CCD camera inside of it. The Sony Ericsson ICD-CX50 has a 4x digital zoom and 256 megabytes of internal memory to record images of presentations or classes while recording audio simultaneously.

Certainly not meant for the choosy digital camera crowd, the device shoots images at 640 x 480-pixel resolution. With a USB 2.0 connection, images and audio can be easily and efficiently transferred to a computer. The ICD-CX50 comes with a rechargeable battery and will be available for about $400 in June.
