July 26, 2006 – Yesterday, Digital Domain, Inc. released their updated photo printing software Qimage version 2007.100 a few months earlier than expected. Qimage comes in three versions, Lite, Pro, and the newest edition, Studio.

The Qimage program, which is compatible with Windows and Linux-based Macs, produces multiple images for batch printing. The updated version offers improved core print processing, otherwise known as "hyper printing," with "4x improvement in print speed," according to yesterday’s press release.

Qimage 2007.100 has a redesigned interface with new skins and includes new copyright stamps. In addition, a number of minor corruptions have been fixed, according to the release.

The upgrade is free for existing users of the Lite and Professional editions, which normally retails at $34.95 and $49.95 respectively. Qimage offers "free lifetime upgrades," according to their website. The newest edition, Qimage Studio, costs $89.95. A 30-day trial download is available at http://www.ddisoftware.com/qimage/demo.htm.
