The recently announced Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 is a digital interchangeable lens camera that is based on the new Micro Four Thirds System Standard. A pioneer, the G1 also supports Four Thirds System lenses and comes equipped with a 12.1-megapixel Live MOS, Four Thirds sensor.
Thanks to the Micro Four Thirds System, Panasonic was able to reduce the size of G1 dramatically without sacrificing the features. Other features found on the dslr include; 3-inch, 460K dot, free-angle LCD screen, 1,440,000-dot equivalent Live View Finder, Venus Engine HD imaging processor, HDMI support and MEGA O.I.S.(Optical Image Stabiliser).
