The UK professional photography site Northern Images posted a quick first impressions review for the Canon flagship digital SLR model, the 1Ds Mark III that was announced in August. The 1Ds Mark III carries Canon’s record-breaking resolution of 21.1 megapixels, a CMOS sensor, Live View, weatherproofing, and a 45-point auto focus system. Northern Images reviews simple details like the old strap compared to the new strap. For your information, the shutter sound is described as "crisper" than before. The review also offers some more important insights. Northern Images noticed clipping in the shadows and highlights of images. The camera auto focus is also more sensitive in low light than in the predecessor model.
