Nikon UK Extends Camera Warranty to Two Years
Nikon UK has added a two-warranty to its cameras. The warranty, which only effect camera bodies and not lenses or accessories, will go into effect on Sept. 1 and is available to all Nikon customers

July 16, 2007* – Nikon UK last week announced a two-warranty for its full line of Coolpix and DSLR digital cameras. The warranty, which only affects camera bodies and not lenses or accessories, will go into effect on Sept. 1 and is available to all Nikon customers.
"The introduction of the two-year warranty from Sept. 1 demonstrates Nikon’s commitment to all our customers," said Mark Evans, Service Manager-Imaging for Nikon UK, in a press release. "We are confident that this will be a distinct benefit to all users and reinforces the confidence we have in the quality and durability of our products."
Lenses and accessories will continue to carry a one-year warranty. Customers may also purchase an additional year of coverage, which will also cover accidental damage and theft for three years.
UK customers must register their product in order to receive a digital camera two-year warranty and must have purchased their camera after July 1 of this year. Registration can be completed online at Nikon UK’s website.
