July 5, 2006 –* Nikon USA and Nikon Europe recently released a free 30-day trial for its Camera Control Pro remote control software.
Following Nikon’s Capture 4, released in 2003, the Nikon Camera Control Pro now allows the user to shoot from their personal computer using a remote camera control program. The Windows and Mac-compatible program allows photographers to shoot in secluded places without disturbing their surroundings, such as the finish line of a race or a bird’s nest, according to the Nikon website. Camera Control Pro can also control the exposure and auto focus functions of the camera.
Nikon Camera Control Pro operates with selected Nikon DSLRs, including the D200. "Operation is not guaranteed on Intel-based Mac computers," says the Nikon website.
