February 27, 2007* – Lexar Media, Inc. announced today an updated version of the image recovery software, Image Rescue 3, with a new user interface and online chat support. Geared for recovering photo, video, and audio files from most types of flash memory, Lexar Image Rescue 3 will be available for a free download for existing users of Lexar Professional and Platinum II cards or for $29.95 for new users.
"Image Rescue 3 is designed to address the serious concerns of both professional photographers and the ever-expanding group of consumers that user flash memory for storing and sharing digital images, videos, and audio files on their cameras, MP3 players, and PDAs," said Lexar Senior Product Marketing Manager John Santoro in a company press release today.
Lexar Image Rescue 3 can retrieve images from CF Type 1 and 2, SmartMedia, Memory Stick, SD, SDHC, MMC and xD cards, according to the release.
Image Rescue 3 is compatible with Windows 2000 or higher and Mac OS 10.2 or higher.
