April 17, 2007* - JOBO AG yesterday announced a firmware update for the GIGA Vu PRO portable hard drive. The free update includes JD Loupe, Incremental Back-up, and increased RAW support.

The GIGA Vu PRO is an all-in-one photo storage, viewing, and multi-media device. It features a 4-inch color TFT display for viewing photos, a RAW file decoder, and comes with 40-120GB of storage. The device can also store and play music and video files.

The JD Loupe adds a button to the zoom menu that enables photographers to view image details via a magnified rectangular loupe. The Incremental Back-up feature allows users to easily sync the data on their GIGA Vu Pro with an external device. The device’s RAW file compatibility has been expanded to include RAW files from cameras such as the Leica M8.
