**June 20, 2006 – Fujifilm USA announced yesterday price reductions for the FinePix A400 and the FinePix A500. Both entry-level models carry Super CCD imaging sensors.

'These changes should make these attractive cameras even more appealing to potential purchasers,' says Fuji public relations agent Michael Steavenson.

The FinePix A400 is now priced at $129. The A400 has a 4.1 megapixel Super CCD and 12 megabytes of memory. The camera is fitted with a 3x optical zoom lens and 1.8-inch LCD screen.

The 5.1 megapixel FinePix A500 also includes a Super CCD imaging sensor and is now available for $149. Like the A400, the FinePix A500 carries 12 megabytes of memory, a 1.8-inch LCD screen and a 3x optical zoom lens, although the A500 offers slightly more digital zoom at 5.2x.

Both cameras were introduced in January of this year.
