August 14, 2006 –* Today, Fuji Photo Film, Inc. announced the appointment of its new Vice President of Strategic Accounts, John Bruehl. Bruehl is the former vice president of Konica Minolta.
After a 30-year run of heading sales at Konica Minolta, Bruehl will be now be responsible for managing distribution and other sales duties at Fuji’s Electronic Imaging Division.
"John’s extensive experience in the imaging business, proven leadership in executive sales management and track record of success are expected to pay immediate dividends to our business," said Fuji Vice President and General Manager Bill Drysdale. Bruehl will work under the supervision of Drysdale, according to the today’s Fuji press release.
Fuji adopted Bruehl from its less successful digital/film competitor, Konica Minolta. Konica Minolta pulled out of the film manufacturing market earlier this year, leaving Fuji and Kodak as the last two major film manufacturers, according to Reuters.
