***Oct. 9, 2007* - The Breeze Systems DSLR Remote Pro v1.5, released last week, is a remote control application that allows users to control their photos and cameras through a Windows-enabled PC. The latest version of DSLR Remote Pro supports Canon EOS 40D and 1D Mark III digital SLR cameras.

According to Breeze Systems, the remote application allows users to automatically see and download high-quality previews of photos on a PC in seconds. Users can control one or multiple cameras directly from a PC and automatically store images on the PC's hard drive.

"DSLR Remote Pro v1.5 has the unique ability to autofocus the 40D and 1D Mark III from a PC using a contrast detection algorithm on the large remote live view display," according to an Oct. 2 company press release.

The remote control application also allows users to control camera settings during tethered operation, bracket up to 15 shots by varying the shutter speed or aperture, and increase control of time lapse. Users can also automatically add IPTC data to images as they are being downloaded and view their pictures while continuing to shoot.

DSLR Remote Pro v1.5 is available for a free 15-day trial or purchase through the Breeze Systems website. BreezeBrowser customers can purchase the application for a discounted price of $75 until the end of October (original price $95). DSLR Remote Pro includes one year of free upgrades.
