BenQ Announces Newest Camera for Release in China

August 1, 2007* – BenQ yesterday announced the latest edition to its digital camera line. The 10-megapixel BenQ DC E1000 has a 3-inch LCD screen and 3x optical zoom, and will initially be available this month in China. U.S. availability has not yet been announced.
The DC E1000 has a Face Tracking function, Shake Free mode that compensates for hand shake, and a burst mode that can take up to 12 images in one second.
Users can choose from up to 24 scene modes, as well as priority, aperture priority, shutter priority, and manual modes. The DC E1000 has an ISO range up to 1600, and can shoot in the 4:3, 3:2, or 16:9 aspect ratios.
The camera's Movie mode can shoot in 848 x 480 with continuous sound. Direct printing is available through PictBridge when attached to a compatible printer.
