Apple today released the much anticipated update to its imaging software Aperture. The Apple Aperture 2 is the next major release of Apples’ photo editing and management software and claims to have more than 100 new features. According to Apple, Aperture 2 is faster and more intuitive since it boasts of a new image processing engine.
The Aperture 2 includes new imaging tools for highlight recovery, color vibrancy, local contrast definition, soft-edged retouching, vignetting and RAW fine-tuning, and lets users directly post their portfolios on the .Mac Web Gallery* for viewing on the web, iPhone™, iPod® touch and Apple TV. Aperture 2 is available immediately for a suggested retail price of $199 (US) and supports Mac OS® X, iLife®, iWork™, .Mac and Apple print products.
