The best makeup looks at New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2024
1. Coquette Queen makeup at Alice + Olivia
Models at Alice + Olivia wore Too Faced's Cloud Crush Blush for a warm flush of color on the cheeks.
One of three makeup looks at the Alice + Olivia presentation was dubbed 'Coquette makeup,' namely for its cheeky, feminine allure that was more than generous with its touches of pink by way of fun and flirtatious makeup brand Too Faced. To bring the coquette aesthetic to life, Elyse Reneau, the brand's Executive Director of Global Beauty, opted to use pink powder blush all over the cheeks with the Cloud Crush Blurring Blush in the shade "Candy Clouds" (bright pink). Hints of pink were also on the eyes with the help of the tones of pink in the Let's Play Mini Eyeshadow Palette.

A touch of warmth was also brought to the lips with the Too Faced Lip Injection Power Plumping Gloss in the shade "Wifey for Lifey" (warm rose nude). The playful charm of the coquette aesthetic was also channeled through setting the face with the Too Faced Moon Crush Highlighter a powdered highlighter that aims to give the skin "a wet look finish." For an all-over glow, the brand recommends dusting the highlighter across your legs, neck, and décolletage as well.
Lips were glazed with the Too Faced's Plumping Gloss in 'Wifey for Lifey,' a warm red lip color.

2. Sultry eyes and muted lips at Anna Sui
The muted color palette of the English countryside and the city of London were reflected in the makeup look by Pat McGrath at Anna Sui's Fall/Winter 2024 show.
Anna Sui's Fall/Winter 2024 ready-to-wear collection sought inspiration from the subdued beauty of the English countryside and the city of London, but when it came to all things beauty, makeup artist Pat McGrath decided to seek inspiration from 1960s ads from BIBA, a London-based fashion brand, for the model's makeup looks. "It's BIBA with a Virginia Woolf twist," McGrath shared in a statement. That said, McGrath opted for variations of burgundy and brown on the eyes and lips. Eyes were dusted with the shades "Ultimate Taupe" (tan) and "Depth" (dark brown) from the Mothership I: Subliminal Eyeshadow Palette along with the colors "Rosewood Romantique" (brick red), "Plum Cabaret" (dark purple), and "Xtreme Nocturne" (dark brown) from the Mothership X: Moonlit Seduction Eyeshadow Palette.

Traces of brown and burgundy were also found on the lips, and McGrath used the MatteTrance Lipstick in shades "Guinevere" (blooded crimson) and "Flesh 3" (brown rose).

3. Bold, red lips at Khaite

Models at Khaite wore the NARS Powermatte High Intensity Lip Pencil.
For Khaite's Fall/Winter 2024 runway show, models surely made a bold statement as they paraded down the runway wearing a bold, red lip combo. Makeup artist Diane Kendal joined forces with NARS and used the brand's Powermatte High-Intensity Lip Pencil in the shade 'Kiss Me Deadly' (vivid orange red). Of course, no lip liner is complete without a lipstick, and Kendal opted to use two shades of the Powermatte Lip Pigment in "Don't Stop"(vivid blue red) and "Light My Fire" (orange-red).

The best nail looks at New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2024
1. Black red ombré manicures at Jason Wu
Hints of dark red were carefully dabbed on models' nails at the Jason Wu Fall/Winter 2024 runway show with the help of Jin Soon Choi and her namesake nail care brand.
Nails at Jason Wu Fall/Winter 24 were decorated with JINsoon nail polish in the shade 'Risque.'
Manicurist Jin Soon Choi was at the helm for all things nails at the Jason Wu Fall/Winter 2024 show. Choi used her eponymous brand's polish in the shade "Risque" (blackberry red) to create a "Blackberry Red Ombré manicure." To achieve the ombré effect, Choi dispersed the polish with a makeup sponge, starting at the cuticle to cover 1/3 of the nail. She repeated this process twice but focused on filling in the areas that needed a touch-up.
2. Navy blue nails at Tory Burch
The shiny navy blue nails at Tory Burch's Fall/Winter 2024 runway show were achieved using Essie's Gel Couture Longwear Nail Polish in 'Caviar Bar 400.'
Models' nails were finely painted with the Essie Gel Couture Longwear Nail Polish in 'Caviar Bar 400' for the Tory Burch Fall/Winter 2024 Runway Show.
For Tory Burch's Fall/Winter 2024 runway show, lead nail artist Bana Jarjour partnered with nail care brand Essie. Jarjour opted to paint each of the models' nails with the brand's Gel Couture Longwear Nail Polish in 'Caviar Bar 400' (magnificent navy blue). Jarjour chose this hue of navy blue as a tribute to Tory Burch's passion for "architectural precision" and "bold silhouettes." In essence, every model's nail transformed into "a miniature work of high art." Jarjour coated each nail with Essie's Gel Couture Top Coat for a glossy finish.
3. Sparkling pastel blue nails at Sandy Liang
The finale nail look at Sandy Liang's Fall/Winter 2024 runway show consisted of a shade of pastel blue and iridescent pearl from O.P.I.
The finale nail look at Sandy Liang included O.P.I. Nail Lacquer in 'Verified.'
Pastel blue nails with a glazed finish are set to be trending next fall and winter, per the finale of Sandy Liang's Fall/Winter 2024 show. Nail artist Holly Falcone teamed up with O.P.I. for the show's nail looks, and this combination in particular pays "tribute to the Sandy girl—a uniformed girl with a secret princess alter ego," she said in a statement. Falcone used the shades "Verified" (bright blue creme) and "Glazed N' Amused" (pearl pink). "I like to believe that the iridescent pearl is what transforms [Sandy girl] into her princess identity," Falcone explained.
The look was topped with a glistening coat of 'Glazed N'Amused,' a sheer iridescent pearl.

1. Celestial Box Buns at Christian Siriano
The box buns at Christian Siriano were created using the Tresemmé Extra Hold Hair Mousse.
The cosmos served as the muse for Tresemmé partner and celebrity stylist Lacy Redway's celestial box buns at Christian Siriano's Fall/Winter 2024 runway show. To ensure that not a single strand of hair was sticking up, Redway prepped the hair with the Tresemmé Extra Hold Hair Mousse. After blowdrying the hair, Redway placed the Tresemmé Mega Sculpting Hair Gel on the bun's center part before laying down specks of gold leaf on the part. To create the centerpiece of this look—aka the bun—Redway saturated a ponytail with the gel before making the bun. She folded "the hair twice onto itself" to achieve a "rectangular flat bun."
Hair was locked in place with the Tresemmé Mega Sculpting Hair Gel.
2. '90s Businesswoman' Blowouts at Retrofête
Blowout hair prep began with the Oribe Defense Universal Protection Spray.
The beauty trends of the '90s have served as inspiration for the looks of today for a few years now, and at Retrofête's Fall/Winter 2024 show, Oribe Principal Artist of Global Content, Mandee Tauber, looked to the final decade of the twentieth century to create the show's hair look dubbed the '90s Businesswoman.' The style is essentially a bouncy, voluminous blowout. Because this look requires the use of a hair dryer and a curling iron—erm, lots of heat—Tauber started off by spraying the hair with the Oribe Defense Universal Protection Spray. Then, she blowdried the hair straight while brushing it simultaneously with the Italian Resin Flat Brush.
As hair was being blow dryed, it also was being brushed with the Oribe Italian Resin Flat Brush.
After the hair was dried, Tauber got the hair ready for curling with some heat protectant spray. She created the curls with a 1.5-inch curling iron. Curling the hair was followed parting it to the side, and for the finishing touches, the look was set in place using the Oribe Free Styler Working Hair Spray. And be sure to brush out the curls with your fingers or a comb to attain those bouncy, voluminous strands.

3. Undone hair and bound ponytails at Proenza Schouler
Hair was kept casual at Proenza Schouler and was styled with products from Bumble and bumble.
Hair prep at Proenza Schouler started off with the Bumble and bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Primer.
The hair situation at Proenza Schouler's Fall/Winter 2024 show was casual, and according to the show's lead hair stylist, Guido Palau, the relaxed approach to the hair was intentional. "The hair is an easy, chic yet undone style that matches the styling of the Proenza Schouler woman," Palau said in a statement. Hair was either kept down or bound up in a tight ponytail at the nape of the neck. Each of the looks was created using products from Bumble and bumble. Palau prepped the hair with the Bumble and bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil Primer, and texture was created with the help of the Thickening Dryspun Texture Spray Light. The looks were locked in with the Spray de Mode Hairspray.
