What is the Met Gala?
The Met Gala is shorthand for the Costume Institute Benefit, an annual fundraiser for the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The exclusive event centers around the opening of the department's spring exhibition. The 2024 Met Gala was held in honor of the exhibition called "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion."
