Rachael Narins earned her culinary degree in San Francisco, and then launched her career in culinary education, recipe development, and food writing. Her first book, Cast-Iron Cooking, has been an Amazon Editor’s Choice since it was originally published, and she has subsequently collaborated on several other best-selling cookbooks.
For 12 years she ran Chicks with Knives, a popular supper club focusing on farm-to-table food and building community. In addition, Rachael is a Certified California Master Gardener and Master Food Preserver.
As a writer, her recipes, photography, and articles have been published in The Kitchn, Simply Recipes, The Guardian UK, Food and Wine, the L.A. Times, and more.
She is a sought-after guest on podcasts, a judge for food competitions including the Orange County Fair and The Good Food Awards, and she has appeared as a judge on various culinary competition television shows.
Rachael lives in Los Angeles but dreams of Paris.
