Best Refrigerator
Frigidaire Gallery GRQC2255BF

The Frigidaire Gallery Quattro GRQC2255BF 4-door French-door refrigerator is nearly perfect, offering even temperatures and tons of storage space at a reasonable price. This is the best fridge we've tested to date, and by a healthy margin. During testing, the Quattro kept temperatures within a fraction of a degree of its target, both over time and throughout each of its compartments. We also love that this fridge has a through-the-door ice and water dispenser, a custom-temp compartment located next to its freezer, and some highly-customizable storage throughout.

Cafe induction range with rose gold hardware surrounded by kitchen cabinets

Best Range
Café CHS900P2MS1

With attractive, customizable handles and ultra-modern app capabilities, the Café CHS900P2MS1 induction range caught our attention from the very beginning. But what kept us interested was its test-acing performance. This range can boil water up to 13% faster than the induction range average (which is already impressively speedy), and it is able to maintain a wide range of temperatures without fluctuating. It also delivers evenly baked foods thanks to its true convection functions. Plus, there is Wi-Fi enabled compatibility with the Smart HQ app, which allows users to monitor and modify cooking functions remotely, plus take advantage of compatible smart cookware to hone their chef skills at home.

The timer dial on the Electrolux ELFW7637AT.

Best Washing Machine
Electrolux ELFW7637AT

The Electrolux ELFW7637AT ranks at the top of our list of best washing machines for the second year running because it is a true performer. No other machine could knock off its crown and compete with its versatility and cleaning ability. During testing, we found that it mixes water and detergent ahead of time for a better wash, and it deals well with various tricky stains, from protein to oil. The internal water heater allows you to sanitize clothing of common diseases like E. coli, it gets rid of allergens, and it helps keep your whites as bright as can be. It also offers options like Extended Refresh, which tumbles laundry after a cycle is finished to keep it from getting musty before you transfer it to the dryer.

  • Has its own internal heater

  • Easy-to-read controls

Best Dryer
Electrolux ELFE7637AT

It’s only fitting that the matching dryer to our Best of Year award-winning washing machine reigns supreme, and the Electrolux ELFE7637AT excels at just about everything. From sheer drying performance to clothing care and energy efficiency—it outperformed every other dryer we’ve tested. A 90-minute cycle returns clothes that are fully dried using lower temperatures than most other dryers, meaning clothes aren’t exposed to damagingly high heat. Its predictive drying capabilities help the machine make better cycle time estimates and can reduce wear-and-tear damage from over-drying. This dryer features a steam mode, which is useful on its own, and also factors into the dewrinkling and static reduction modes for quick refreshes and easy laundry care.

We think most people will fall in love with the Shark Apex AZ1002
Credit: Reviewed / Jonathan Chan
Best Upright Vacuum
Shark Apex AZ1002

Sure, we originally tested it a few years ago, but the Shark Apex AZ1002 continues to easily cleans both carpet and hardwood floors, performing almost flawlessly on our debris tests. On linoleum, regular carpet, and shag carpet, this vacuum picked up uncooked rice, macaroni, and pet hair better than vacuums that cost hundreds more. On our carpet cleaning tests it landed in the upper third of all the vacuums we’ve ever tested. How’s that for staying power?

Pros

  • Powerful suction

  • Many attachments

  • LED lights on the brush head

Cons

  • Heavy

  • Noisy

Best Cordless Vacuum
Samsung Bespoke Jet AI VS28C9762UK

We are super excited about the Samsung Bespoke Jet AI, which takes top spot this year, and is, arguably, the best cordless vacuum we've ever tested. It has a powerful motor and battery, running for up to 17 minutes on its highest setting and showing superior cleaning prowess by picking up 90% of the fine dust and dirt we laid out for it on our testing carpets. It can also empty itself while placed in its charging dock, and the telescopic wand is a helpful cleaning tool for reaching high-up spots. When it comes to UX, users should note that it automatically adjusts its suction based on the dirt detected and the floor type. It also displays how much juice is left in the battery down to the second.

Best Robot Vacuum
iRobot Roomba J9+

iRobot lands top honors again this year with its brand new Roomba j9+ robot vacuum. It takes over where its predecessor (the Roomba j7+) leaves off, with even better suction power, cleaning capabilities, and navigation. On average, it picks up around 9.45 grams of our testing debris per run, putting it in the top 10% of all the robot vacuums we’ve tested. It seamlessly transitions from floor to carpet and back again, and its dock will empty its dustbins automatically so users don’t have to get their hands dirty. Its user interface is incredibly simple yet effective, and it’s a fit for most households out there.

Best Robot Vacuum Mop Combo
Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

Bells and whistles ring galore on the Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni, our brand new best of year winner for the robot vacuum-mop hybrid category. This is no small medal, as competition is stiff, including its predecessor the X1 Omni, iRobot’s Roomba Combo j7+, and the brand new Roomba Combo j9+ (which is so new we haven’t been able to test it yet). In our lab, the Deebot X2 Omni picked up an average 9.3 grams of dirt per run—anything close to 10 grams gets a gold star. As a mop, its rear spinning brushes allow it to scrub stains and dust out of bare floors. Its charging base has the ability to clean the robot’s mop pads and empty its dust bin automatically. The X2 Omni also has a number of smart features, like camera streaming and remote control.

It’s one of the most efficient we’ve ever seen, removing smoke, dander, pet hair, pollen, and other particles with a super quiet HEPA filter and fan. It also boasts an app that’s intuitive, allows you to schedule, and facilitates geo-fencing.
